Norwegian Knitting Book Author
My name is Tone Takle, and I have made several books on knitting, and one on feltmaking. I teach art to children, and have also been a designer at Høie.Arne factories, which produced bedlinen. In addition, I have made knitwear designs for yarn companies as Rauma Ullvarefabrikk and Sandnes Garn in Norway.I am very interested in knitting, but also feltmaking, embroidery, drawing and painting. I like to combine colors, and I like to figure out how things best can be constructed, for example by using knitting stitches.
I really love the process of creating a book. To begin with ideas ending up with a finished book in hand is so exciting!
My latest book “Knitted Teddy Bears” I have published on CreateSpace. I wanted to explore the options that "Print on demand” allows. This means that the book will be printed in the new copies as orders arrive. Both the English and the Norwegian version is sold via Internet bookstores like Amazon and from this website. In addition, the book is also for sale in a number of yarn shops and bookstores.
