More sweaters. A riot of pattern, color and form,
By Lise Kolstad and Tone TakleInterweave Press, 1994
ISBN 0-934026-99-8
This book was made because my co-author Lise and I would have loved to find this book while we were learning how to make patterns and knitting designs ourselves. We learnt by trial and error, mostly. The book is about how to draw borders and design knitted garments, but also contains finished patterns for jackets, sweaters, hats, tights and more.
Tone Takle and Lise Kolstad attracted attention with their first book Sweaters (Interweave Press, 1990). More sweaters is a book for beginners and experienced knitters alike – both for use and inspiration. If you want to experiment and design your own garments, this book will help you get started. An abundance of charts, sketches, detailed studies, and photographs depicts the endless possibilities in the world of knitting. If you´re anxious to get started right away, there are 21 detailed patterns inspired by Norwegian tradition.
